The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 DVD & Blu-ray release day!

I was originally going to add this into my 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 in theaters 12/09/15!' post, but figured it was long enough to stand on its' own!

March 22nd, Mockingjay Part 2 came out on DVD & Blu-ray! Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to go out the day of its' release. So, we decided to go out the day after! Which also happened to be the 4 year anniversary of the first movie being released into theaters! Also, we had just finished watching the entire series starting on my mom's birthday through Sunday, before all of this!

We had some errands to run anyway, so it was perfect! We headed to the mall and parked on one side get an order for my mom at Macy's, then we headed back out and drove to the other side of the mall. Then, we went into Hot Topic to pick up an order that apparently didn't exist lol. I had seen pictures of a nice display for The Hunger Games outside of FYE, (I wasn't sure if Florida would have it, since they slack on a lot) so we made our way there. And, lo and behold! They had it!

After that, we had a few more places to stop on our Mockingjay Part 2 adventure. Next was Best Buy!

They also had the other movies for great prices!!

Then we headed over to Target and they had a very lovely display in the front of the store and in the DVD section, as well! I was surprised to see that they didn't have a big set up of merchandise like our other Target, but they didn't even have a place for it.

We were on our way out when we walked by the technology department and who do we see? Katniss and Peeta!

That was cool!

Barnes & Noble was right across the road, so we decided we would go inside and see if they had anything set up. I was hoping they would, but they didn't. Oh well. We're lucky everything is so close together!

We still had Walmart and Publix to check, but there was another Target sort of on the way towards them. So, we figured why not! That and I wanted to see if they had anymore merchandise. We drove for another 20 minutes or so and we arrived at Target. They had a similar set up as the other!

But this Target had the merchandise I was hoping the other had!

And, to my surprised, everything was half off!! Clearance sale. Which, is pretty dumb given the new move was just released the day before.

I couldn't help it and I purchased a bunch of stuff! Nearly everything they had lol. Made the Hunger Games day more complete, since I wasn't buying any of the movies today with having pre-ordered all of them in November.

We left Target and made our way to Walmart! Which also had a very lovely set up! Minus the bunny.

I also noticed they had a nice display on the Redbox rentals!

I went to take a picture of the Redbox box over at the other entrance and had to wait behind a guy who was renting a movie. I glanced and what was he renting? Mockingjay Part 2! I thought that was cool! And, I didn't creepily take a photo or anything... lol.

They also had a set up towards the back of the store in the DVD & Music section, too!

Before we left Walmart, we ordered our, as I call it "Hunger Games chicken" dinner lol. Ever since Catching Fire we've gone out and brought back dinner plates at the deli from Walmart.

Next, onto Publix! With it being a grocery store, I didn't expect anything. But, lo and behold, they had an even better set up for Redbox than Walmart did!

We went home and my Target pre-order had arrived! That concluded the very Hunger Games day!

I can't believe this is the last movie release. I'm sure they'll have more collections in the future, but this was the last new Hunger Games movie release day, after doing it every single year since Catching Fire. Definitely hitting me now that there won't be another movie to get excited about.

P.S.

Although, I don't remember much from the Catching Fire release day, I remember seeing this lovely display they had back then!

And buying my very first Hunger Games DVD. The rest is history.
