Meet The Mormons on 10/15/14 in Kissimmee, Florida!

About a month or two ago, rumors started flying around that David had recorded a song for a documentary that was supposed to air in theaters! It would be the first time David would have a song in a movie or have any part in a theater, so I had to find a way to see it!   Who wouldn't want to hear that “Glorious” voice in a theater, am I right? ;)

A month or so had past with the premiere date on the horizon and Meet The Mormons were adding locations throughout Florida, but none in my area! Closest was about an hour and a half away. The premier was looming and, sadly, even with the efforts of my Twinnie and I over the weeks, no showings were coming anywhere close! I had no idea how I was going to make it work.

After a week of debating where and how I was going to get there with my mom, we finally decided that we were going to go to the theater in Sunrise, Florida on the 15th! Just as we had gotten everything set with directions and whatnot, Meet The Mormons had added another location in Kissimmee. Initially I hadn't even considered it, with it being another 20 minutes longer than Sunrise and in the complete opposite direction, my mom looked into it and decided that would be the better direction to head towards instead of Sunrise. So, it was set! We were going!

Finally, the day had come! (Well, sort of finally, we weren't even 100% until the day before ;)) I was going to see Meet The Mormons! I woke up around 10:30 to my mom excitedly saying “It feels just like a concert day!” Which, it did! Especially with it being so far and so much travelling to get there. So, after a while of getting ready and taking care of things around the house, we were off at about 12PM!

After a  long, two hour ride filled with listening to music with my mom, scenery that reminded me of driving to/through Boston, a couple tolls, we had arrived! Without even getting lost! Haha. Plus we got to see the Universal sign which brought back memories from seeing Adam there!

I was surprised to see how small the theater appeared. Another thing I noticed was how different the weather was out there. It was refreshing! But anyway, back to the reason I went there! We walked up to the theater and there were posters all over the place! So, of course, I immediately looked for Meet The Mormons and alas! It was there! I managed to get a picture of it!

Then we went to get our tickets! My mom had a gift from Chris for free tickets and money off of food at any Regal Cinema a few years back, but we weren't sure if they were still even valid. Didn't hurt to try, right? So, my mom gave the tickets to the woman at the counter and they worked! Then we headed inside! It was so much bigger than I had expected. We went over to the counter and got some popcorn, but that's when I noticed a cup with the new Hunger Games movie, so I had to get it! With only 7 minutes to spare until movie's airing!

There were only about 10 people including us in the theater, so that was pretty cool! And finally, after trailers and advertisements, the movie started! Documentaries aren't usually my thing, but this was a lot better than I had expected it to be! And of course, as I expected, I bawled during the last part where the boy was going off to be a missionary. Haha.

Then finally, Glorious started playing! It was INCREDIBLE to hear his voice coming throughout the speakers in a theater! As if I wasn't crying enough with that last part of the movie! Haha. After wanting to hear him in theaters for so long, it was hard to believe it was actually happening! Then sadly, the song ended. It was also cool seeing his name in the credits!

Then we stopped at a Walmart close by and headed home. Such a special, or shall I say, "Glorious" experience, I hope to have more theater experiences including David! ;)
