After about a year of wondering when it was going to come out, sometime before the new Orphan Black season started it was announced to be coming out on September 22nd. Which also happened to be Tatiana's birthday! I couldn't wait to get to see her in theaters as I've never seen a movie of hers in one, but it would definitely be bitterwseet given the fact that by the time the 22nd came, Orphan Black will have been over for over a month.
The months went by and September 22nd came! We figured we'd wait a little while since we didn't want to go when it was packed with people.
September ended and we started looking into show times! One after the other didn't pan out and it was starting to air in fewer and fewer theaters. We finally decided that we would go on October 18th at the 12:00PM showing! That was going to be the second to last showing in a theater anywhere near us with the last being at 7:00PM that day, so we wanted to make sure we got to that first airing. I was pushing to go no matter what (even though I hadn't slept at all the night prior lol) but my mom wasn't sure. She checked the website one more time and lo and behold! They added one more at 3:00PM the next day, which also happened to be Spirit day!
Movie day had arrived! I got ready that morning and hung around for a while and did the usual routine. Also woke up that morning to THIS lovely tweet from Tat ♥. At about 2:00PM we were off to the theater that was about 40 minutes away in Indian River! Or as my mom kept saying in a ukrainian accent "Cold river. The place of screams" lol.
After a long 40 minute ride, we finally made it to the theater! Which ended up being a lot easier to get to than expected! With about 15 minutes to spare (which wouldn't have mattered anyway since the previews went on until 3:30 lol), we made our way into the theater and headed to the bathrooms. I saw a banner of Stronger outside and figured I'd take a photo on the way out since we were running close to airing time.
From what I read about it I expected it to be a small, but it was a pretty big and decent theater!
There was only about 3 people sitting in the theater with us, but we decided to sit all the way in the back. Watched about half an hour of previews and now it was time to finally see Stronger! The movie was INCREDIBLE! Such an inspiring, heartbreaking, uplifting movie. I love getting to see so much Boston again, despite what the story was about. Both Tatiana and Jake gave amazing performances. Although I'm partial to Tat's... lol. She's just so special. Something about her acting ability is entirely above anyone and anything I have ever seen. I continue to always be in awe of her talent. Plus, I finally got to see her in theaters!! That and with missing Orphan Black so much it was nice to get to see new content from her. Or, as my mom and I and Clone Club called it, getting to see the niave Boston clone lol. Heard some Cosima, Beth and Tony in there a bit too lol. Saw Cosima's smile but not really anyone else in there this time.
Finally we made our way home and stopped at Target and Walmart to pick up a few orders and that was it. So happy that I finally got to see Stronger AND Tatiana in theaters! She was phenomenal as well as the movie. Wish we would see it again!
